You too can help transform where you live. If you have an idea which will benefit your community and bring people together, crowdfunding may provide you with the platform to turn your idea into reality. This course is suitable for anyone wanting to get involved with a local project or even start a new concept from scratch.

About the Course

This course has been designed for those looking to develop a project suitable for crowdfunding. Learning will focus on the IT skills needed to get you and your campaign online and give your project the best chance of success. The course also covers topics including ‘Universal Jobsmatch’ teaching you the skills needed to look for a job and importantly you’ll also gain a very useful qualification along the way.

How long is the course?

The course will be delivered over 5 days.


This programme is free to those eligible and aged 19 or over. Eligibility is generally unemployed and in receipt of work related benefits—including Universal Credit, JSA, ESA and Income Support. This course is for complete beginners and no previous experience is required

Where will the training be delivered?

This course will be delivered in a local community venue

What qualification will I receive?

On successful completion you will receive a Edexcel BTEC Entry Level 3 Certificate for IT Users (ITQ) and a Group Horizon certificate ‘Introduction to Crowdfunding’
