Pearson’s Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (QCF)
Who is this course for?
This qualification has been designed for learners working or preparing to work in the construction industry. Individuals will gain knowledge of the responsibilities of health and safety requirements when on construction sites. This qualification links to achievement of the CSCS Green Card for Labourers in Construction. From July 2014 it has become a mandatory requirement for all new labourers wishing to achieve or renew the CSCS Green Card to complete this qualification.
Health and Safety Level 1 learning outcomes
The aim of this unit is to help learners understand how health and safety working practices are incorporated into a construction environment. Unit includes:
- The principles of risk assessments
- Safe manual handling
- Working safely at height
- Risks to health within a construction environment
- Working around plant and equipment safely
