Group Horizon are delighted to confirm that they have maintained the award of ‘Platinum Provider’ status by the Energy Efficiency Independent Assessment Service (EEIAS)- the highest level of accreditation available. This is the second time Group Horizon have been awarded this status and offers independent verification of the quality training consistently provided. Group Horizon have been commended for their highly successful, learner-focused strategies and a drive towards innovation and development.
The EEIAS is an employer led assessment and quality assurance body – established in response to Government reforms which places employers at the heart of workforce development. Their aim is to ensure assessments and qualifications are delivered to the greatest of standards and that training is effective and relevant to the jobs market.
In response to the Government’s target to install 53 million gas and electricity smart meters by 2020, Group Horizon have been delivering suite of Smart Metering Installer training to help upskill and introduce new workers to this sector. Smart meters encourage efficiency in the home by displaying real-time energy usage, providing automatic meter readings so that customers can monitor their usage more effectively and potentially save money on their energy bills.
Group Horizon are working with employers nationwide to understand the skills shortages of today and tomorrow, and address training needs as required. Focusing on priority areas, Group Horizon alongside their partners have created an innovative suite of training programmes suitable for everyone from new entrants to experienced meter installers.
Receiving such a respected status once more from the EEIAS is an amazing achievement. “To receive Platinum Status again from EEIAS is an amazing achievement and something we are very proud of. Such an accolade from an independent organisation really shows the value and quality of our training” said Peter Behan, Group Horizon Managing Director.
Group Horizon continue to work to ensure high standards of quality and training are at the forefront of everything they do.
